About Matthew West
Matthew West has worked in the advertising, PR and marketing fields for over 20 years. He received a B.S. from Cornell University and a Masters from Harvard University. For 13 of those years, he has worked for McCann in the pharmaceutical and healthcare communications space as an Account Manager and Vice President/Chief Talent Officer. In 2014, Matthew joined a leading recruitment firm to build and lead the first ever Pharmaceutical Advertising and Marketing division. Matthew’s unparalleled strategic business sense, understanding of brand building and recruitment of extraordinary talent make him a galvanizing asset to partner with on business.
Matthew has secured client relationships with over 25 companies including pharmaceutical advertising and PR agencies, healthcare communications firms as well as Fortune 500 manufacturers. He has worked with each of the major global Advertising/PR holding companies as his clients. Matthew is truly the industry’s Talent Connector.
In August 2013, Matthew was awarded the prestigious PharmaVoice Top 100 Most Inspiring People in the healthcare marketing industry as well as Workforce Management’s Game Changers Award for Business. In addition, in December, 2014, PM-360 named Matthew a top Innovator in Talent.
Actively involved in his community, Matthew volunteers at area universities by speaking on effective interviewing and resume building within the advertising, PR and pharmaceutical industries. He is also committed to organizations that are working to find cures for cancer and autism. Matthew enjoys spending time with, and is most proud of his two children, the greatest loves of his life.
